Discover Heritage Walk

Heritage Walk is a 3.2 mile (5 kilometer) walking trail through four fascinating centuries of American history. The trail connects 20 historic sites and museums in a compact area that spans four city neighborhoods: the Inner Harbor, Little Italy, Historic Jonestown, and City Center.

There are three easy ways to experience Heritage Walk:

* Guided Walk: Uniformed guides conduct 90-minute guided walks that leave from the Baltimore Visitor Center between April and November. Each walk covers about 1.5 miles, half the Heritage Walk route.

* Self-Guided Walk: Follow the Heritage Walk map for a self-guided journey into Baltimore’s past. The walk takes you past all twenty Heritage Walk Star Attractions.  You can purchase an official Heritage Walk booklet at many of the sites along the route.

* Choose for yourself: This website describes all the Heritage Walk Star Attractions. You can explore all or part of the Walk, or head straight to the sites that appeal to you most!

There are plenty of restaurants and rest stops along the route to refresh yourself.

Welcome to Heritage Walk, a project of Historic Jonestown, Inc. and the Baltimore City Heritage Area.
